What It Is

So, like the description says this is not a single-topic blog. I like lots of things. I spend most of my time working, reading, and watching hockey. I spend a ridiculous amount of time e-mailing, commenting on other blogs and Facebook. This is a way to bring all of that together in one location.

I’ve had so many people tell me I needed a blog. I was resistant because, mainly, I couldn’t pick just one topic. Then I figured out I could blog on as many topics as I wanted to. After all, it’s my blog. Besides, life is full of so many things, why talk or write about just one? Now everyone in their mother has a blog. So, being the follower that I am, I decided now was the perfect time to take the plunge.

Sometimes I’ll have things to say that are serious, sometimes funny. Some of the topics will be serious but most times probably not so much. I like to think I have interesting thoughts sometimes.

The topics here will run the gamut of pretty much everything in life, except those things I strongly dislike like basketball. And "The Bachelor.". A list of likely topics in a somewhat relevant order are:

  1. Hockey
  2. Politics and current events
  3. TV/Movies/Celebs
  4. Food and cooking
  5. Beer
  6. Religion
  7. Music
  8. Business
  9. Relationships
  10. Arts and crafts
  11. Cars
  12. Fashion
  13. Travel
  14. Miscellaneous other sports, except basketball

I would like to give a shout-out to James and Honey for finally pushing me over the blogging edge! James for his hockey blog that I enjoy, but couldn’t disagree with more (so check back here to get “the other side”) and Honey for always thinking I’m funny when I’m not.

It is called Freedom and Hockey because, honestly, those are likely to be the two most common topics. But, ultimately everything else in life falls into those two categories. Either its an issue of your freedom, or its like hockey. What else is there that those two things don't describe?
